Primadesk Announces Secure Universal Sharing

Today, Primadesk announced they’re releasing secure, universal sharing. The universal sharing means users can share files between cloud services and further eliminate barriers that prevent cloud sharing from being easy.

How It Works

The convenience Primadesk is offering allows users to share items with others who may not necessarily have an account on a specific service. For example, users can share files from Shutterfly or Facebook with someone regardless of whether or not the recipient has an account with those services.

Primadesk has made the process simple as well. Users simply click on Share which directs Primadesk to create a secure sharing page. The secure sharing page holds all the items users want to share with others. From the press release,

For example, users can easily share files from their Microsoft SkyDrive with someone using Dropbox through Primadesk’s share feature.

Extras

Universal sharing is a huge step forward and will allow users to share files across cloud services and devices with greater ease. Though, in the past this type of sharing has been limited or in some way insecure, Primadesk users don’t have file sharing size limitations and have the option to add Share settings.

Share settings include time limits, password protection and notification of receipt. The password protection option is something that we applaud Primadesk on. Security is paramount when sharing data, especially in the new cloud and mobile environments.
