<\/p>\nOnline games are commonplace these days and with the addition of Facebook games, gaming has become a big part of online activity. Now a new game has come along and it brings a lot of fun with it.<\/p>\n

Glitch<\/a> is a free online game of exploration and quest. The game takes place in the mind of imaginative Giants, where as a character you grow and shape the environment around you. This MMORPG allows you to progress as a solo player or with friends, acquaintances, etc. Everyone plays the same game at the same time, which means every action affects the current surroundings and players in the game.<\/p>\n Glitch has a number of skills, separated into different categories, for players to learn. Skills have different effects which benefit players in a variety of ways. Skills such as Animal Kinship and Alchemy give players a wide range in skillset. While Animal Kinship increases a player’s ability to interact with animals (an important part especially early on in the game), Alchemy moves a player down the path of element handling.<\/p>\n Players can customize their avatar with clothing, facial and skin changes and additional apparel available via credits. Customizing characters is a real expression of your personality so it may take awhile depending on how creative you want to be since there are so many options available.<\/p>\n Glitch makes playing with friends easy by connecting with Facebook, but it’s an option not a requirement which is fantastic. I chose to sign-up independently of Facebook because I don’t like tying anything external to my Facebook account.<\/p>\n There are number of other features in Glitch to discover and explore like joining groups (much like clans) and performing quests among other things, but you’ll discover those things on your own once you start playing.<\/p>\n Play Glitch<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Overall, Glitch is a really fun game. There is enough game interaction to keep you occupied and interested with plenty of opportunity to engage with other players for continual discovery and adventure. Glitch continues to grow its player base and is primed to be a breakout hit when more people become aware of it. The game is based on Flash which is a bummer, but not entirely unexpected.<\/p>\n The developers are using forward thinking by instituting things like @isglitchup<\/a> for system down-times (before they make it big) and have staggered invites to new players in order to prevent overcrowding in the start-up areas. Tiny Speck has a nice piece of game-work on their hands, similar to that of old style MUD role-playing games, but with more emphasis on quest and achievement rather than gather and destruction.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Have you played Glitch?
