Housefix allows homeowners to post information about a repair job, including photos, job status and due dates. Once the information is online and available for viewing, contractors can bid on the job.<\/p>\n

While bidding is a nice step in the right direction, homeowners still need to do their own research into a contractor or company to determine if they’re legitimate, skilled and trustworthy. Housefix has developed a Housefix Score <\/em>to help rank contractors. Scores are given between 0-1000 with higher scores equaling better overall performance. Many factors go into the score with much of the scoring dependent upon interaction from both homeowners and contractors. The Housefix Score will create a whole new way of ranking quality contractors and hopefully make choosing one a lot easier.<\/p>\n

Housefix is still getting started so you may see limited to no activity in your are at this time, but with more signups and usage the coverage area will surely grow. Additionally, we focused on the homeowner benefits of Housefix, but as a contractor, Housefix provides numerous features for managing projects and of course finding work. Housefix could turn out to be a great evolutionary step for wrangling contractors and delivering quality craftsmanship to homeowners. Homeowners should still do their due diligence when hiring someone, use Housefix as a tool not an authority.<\/p>\n
