PersonSpot
Are you passionate about something? Maybe a specific topic interests you in way that makes you want to share it with others. Perhaps you even enjoy writing about your interests, but only in a limited way. Well now you can publish your own web newspaper or magazine that focuses on your area of expertise and interest through PersonSpot.
The PersonSpot Idea
Think of your favorite magazines or online blogs. Now think about the types of articles you enjoy the most from those sources. Now imagine you can put all those articles from all those sources in one place and you’ve got PersonSpot.
PersonSpot can be used to promote your interests or build a credible online persona that can improve your influence. We’re bombarded with content on a daily basis through feeds, social interactions, blogs, news sources and any number of other outlets. PersonSpot enables people to curate the content they want to read, eliminate the irrelevant material and share the most interesting content.
How It Works
Simply put, users find content they want to share and publish it to their PersonSpot magazine. If your goal is to build an online reputation about a specific topic or bolster your influence in a specific interest area, then an ideal focus would be to publish content relative to those topics and interests.
Summary
PersonSpot is just a young babe at this point. Still in beta and only recently launched, there is little in the way of special features or extras. What they do have is a working curation model that could prove to be a huge force in creating a credible profile of expertise.
Due to its beta status, PersonSpot is currently invite only and the invites are not instantaneous. Either way, you can sign up now for an invite and in the interim, plan out your magazines and topics.
