Facebook has had several problems over the years with security, the least of which is phishing scams. Through the use of a new Firefox add-on, users could be protected from future phishing attacks.
Facebook Phishing Protector
Facebook Phishing Protector works by blocking suspicious scripts or websites that attempt to mimic Facebook in order to gain your login credentials. The add-on warns you when questionable activity is detected while logged into Facebook.
The extension is fairly new so there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles to speak of. Additionally, the white-list provided by the author is fixed. The white-list cannot be edited because of security concerns, but suggestions on future white-list entries are welcomed by the author. You can add Facebook Phishing Protector to Firefox and begin using it immediately, just install the add-on and log into Facebook.
