BackupURL
The web is a seemingly endless place to store data, but even with an unforeseen amount of data being stored, there are times when data is actually removed. If you’ve ever viewed an article or visited a website that had some great information on it, only to return at a later time and find it was missing, then BackupURL is exactly what you need.
BackupURL copies the webpage in question and provides a permalink to the copy so that you can access or share it anytime, even if some time in the future the article or page disappears from the net. Some local images are not backed up, but any embedded images such as for blogs are. Images not withstanding, advertisements are surprisingly omitted from the copy (at least in our testing) and outgoing links remain intact which is a nice plus. Page scrolling is captured in the copy and of course, the meat of pages, the textual content is preserved entirely.
