Noteflight
Musicians like going digital like the rest of us, but up until now writing sheet music was a pen to paper exercise. Noteflight makes writing sheet music as easy as clicking a mouse.
Noteflight allows musicians to write their own music and then playback the audio to further the editing process along. Print out the music for working on scores offline or create an account to edit the scores from any computer. Composers will find the Noteflight music notation a great way to keep their music ideas organized and collaborate easily with others.
Noteflight can be used as a resource as well. Teachers who need to mass reproduce and print music for their students can use Noteflight to conveniently gather all the music they need. Individuals who want to create music, but need a little guidance can use predefined templates to get started. Templates range from School Band to Barbershop and many in between.
The interface allows for manipulation of note styles, pitch and rhythm along with notes and annotation. Overall, the interface is fairly easy to use. A limited mixer is available and if a user has prerecorded video, Noteflight can sync the music with it. There are other features to enhance the music making experience, including a playback speed option which . Noteflight is free to use or users can opt for a Crescendo premium account which opens access to other options such as unlimited scores.
