GetVega
GetVega is a content gathering website where users create lists of their favorite things. The service is similar in nature to Pinterest, but not yet as refined. Lists are akin to Pinboards and lists garner attention from the visual quality contained within.
Lists are comprised of whatever a user wants. Some examples are favorite foods, recipes, travel destinations, music, etc. Lists are created via url, uploaded image, video or text from users, though most lists contain some sort of visual element as illustration. Additional list information can include a Name, Price, Rating, Address, Category and 9 other descriptive bits of information. Along with list content and descriptors, users can add their own comment to explain its significance as well as tags to help others find the information easily.
GetVega is a social service and as such revolves around user posted content and followers. GetVega expands on that by encouraging list management from multiple users. Some of the more visually appealing lists are similar in appearance to the new Facebook timeline images, so there is an aspect of creativity involved when posting list content.
GetVega is still in beta so extended features are somewhat lacking, but as user registration grows so is the content. The service is free and sign-up can be associated with Facebook, Twitter or Google account logins. If you want to share lists of things you enjoy, then give GetVega a try.
