Invoicera

Invoicing is a method utilized by almost all businesses, online companies in particular. Managing those invoices can be a real drain on time and resources unless the process is smooth and concise. Invoicera is a web app which satisfies the needs of a freelancer while supplying an expansive invoicing system for larger companies.

Invoices

The first noticeable element about Invoicera is the very direct attention to invoices. Invoicera has a bunch of features which we’ll look at later, but their main focus is on invoices as it should be. Invoice creation involves many of the basics such as service/product, description, cost and quantity. Additional items include discounts, unit cost, partial payments and late fees. Invoicera allows users to add their own company logo and signatures for unique, professional looking invoices. There are a number of templates provided for those who want a quick start. Customized or not, Invoicera’s process makes invoice creation streamlined and straight forward.

Features

Invoicera doesn’t stop at simply creating invoices. The service also provides time tracking, the ability to send invoices and accept payments online. The service stores everything in the cloud, but doesn’t prevent users from taking their information offline. Items like invoices, time tracking data, estimates and expenses are just some of the data available for export to Excel or Google Docs spreadsheets. Users who incorporate payment options into their account will find 20 different payment processors supporting 11 currencies across more than 100 languages.

Interface

Users who are comfortable interacting with online forms should have no trouble navigating the app, while those new to the process should catch on quickly since most activity requires only a few clicks to complete. The interface itself is clean and unencumbered. Basic functions were easy to find and apply so getting started was an uncomplicated process.

Extras

There are some items worth noting for those familiar with these types of invoicing services. Invoicera integrates with Basecamp, allowing for import and invoice of projects. Among the payment processors are some of the largest names out there, including Paypal, Google Checkout and 2CO. Users will benefit from detailed setup in the beginning even though the process can be a bit long. We always preach about backups so we were glad to see Invoicera has export available for account data.

An account must be created to use the service, so users will have to decide up front which package to try. If you aren’t sure, there is a free plan available or Invoicera promises a 30-day money back guarantee on their premium plans. Invoicera is a quality option for those looking to invoice online and get some extras included.
