Usualwords
As if you need another social network! Well, maybe you do. Facebook and Twitter might be leaving you with a stale feeling while Pinterest could use just a bit more. Well if that’s how you feel, then there are still a number of options out there to try, including one of this week’s picks, Usualwords.
Usualwords operates very much like Facebook. Users share their life experiences. The major difference is that Usualwords is strictly focused towards categorizing those life experiences. The categories conform to aspects of human lives with thoughts, memories, goals, events, ideas and dreams as the main components. The idea is to create a map of your life. The past gives a sense of where you’ve been and what you’ve done and the present is what your thoughts are now. Usualwords is somewhat unique for users willing to share their future goals, dreams and events, creating an abstract wish list as opposed to planned schedules and meetings.
As with any social network, users can share their experiences with anyone around the world. Public information is searchable via keywords which makes finding others with similar experiences easy. Publication of video and photos is built-in to Usualwords as well as integration with other social networks.
Usualwords doesn’t actively describe themselves as a social network, but they are. While Facebook is a place to share and play games, Usualwords is a place to share and create a life-map for yourself.
