Digital Flash Cards To Help You Learn From StudyBlue

Home / Blog / Features / Digital Flash Cards To Help You Learn From StudyBlue

StudyBlue

StudyBlue Media ImageFlash cards are a tried and true method learning tool. StudyBlue is bringing that method to the digital age by incorporating that same technique into an online and mobile platform.

Students depend heavily on mobile devices and as such rely on them for just about every purpose. StudyBlue proclaims that students study for an extra “hour per week” over those who use the traditional website interface. It’s no surprise, mobile devices add accessibility and freedom for students who are regularly on the go. StudyBlue has wisely grabbed hold of that student lifestyle and positioned their flash cards to be a study tool of choice.

StudyBlue is purported to be adding close to 5,000 students per day during the school year/term with their overall membership exceeding 1 million in December 2011. Students have already created tens of millions of flash cards and continue to produce them at an incredible pace. Those interested in learning can conveniently sign-up through Facebook or create a unique login through an email address.

Since StudyBlue doesn’t actually teach, but rather help students learn and study on their own, users don’t need to wonder if they’re receiving the correct information. Students can create study guides and even quiz themselves before an exam. StudyBlue was founded by graduates of University of Wisconsin – Madison so users need not worry that the StudyBlue program was created by a corporate conglomeration looking to make a quick buck. The philosophy geared towards academic success means StudyBlue is free with a paid option available for heavier users.

StudyBlue isn’t the only study tool out there and certainly won’t be the last, but they are definitely one of the most polished we’ve seen and their dedication to learning is admirable. Students over the age of 13 should definitely give this tool a try.
