Ever had to send a message or note to someone, but didn’t want the hassle of logging into email? Notes.io solves that problem. Notes.io is a simple web interface designed to capture messages and create a shortlink to easily share the message. The website is designed to give the feel of a notepad. Users simple click on the screen and start typing. There are no logins, or hoops to jump through, just type away.
Often users need to send memos, notes or messages quickly and while email or text messages usually fit the bill, there are times when neither are the right solution. Email generally requires either logging in or opening a program. In addition, selecting an email address, subject etc. All of which is rarely bothersome, but does require extra steps that just aren’t necessary. Most email is instantaneous nowadays, but on the off chance there is a delay, the lack of speed becomes a hindrance.
The instant delivery could be remedied by text message as long as the information isn’t too long. No one wants to type out recipe directions or multiple lines of instructions in a text message. The other inherent problem with texting is that service availability will dictate whether the recipient receives the message. If the information is of some urgency, then lack of service coverage will prove detrimental.
Notes.io provides users with an interface to type out a message and then quickly share it. The interface allows for multiple lines of typing which means the message or note can be lengthy if necessary and the page will scroll right along with amount of information entered. There doesn’t appear to be a limitation on the size of message creation, although the service would seem most useful in a mid-size note taking capacity. Once the message is complete, users simply click the Short button in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Notes.io creates a shortlink and offers the option of sharing it immediately on Facebook or Twitter.
Notes.io won’t replace your existing methods of messaging, but rather adds another useful form of quickly communicating ideas and thoughts minus all the logins and applications.
