As has been rumored and expected, Bethesda will be releasing DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which was 2011’s game of the year in many gaming circles (ours included). Along with the brief and unspecific announcement came some timeline details confirming what we predicted earlier in the year that the DLC expansion pack will likely hit around E3 and will most certainly be a feature at E3.
The new DLC is titled Dawnguard with much speculation about what players can expect. Many believe it’s a take on the Dawnstar museum which is dedicated to The Order of the Mythic Dawn. Seems as likely a guess as anything else. The quest involving Mythic Dawn is less exciting compared to the buildup so it would be nice to see that quest-line revisited.
As for new characters, weapons and other details? We’ll have to wait and see. Rumors include Frost or Snow Elves, Crossbows and armor for horses. The fact the DLC is being dubbed an expansion pack means there should be a wealth of new content to explore and gameplay to enjoy.
