Quell – Don’t Burst Your Bubble!

By chief_geek

Do you like puzzle games? If so you’re in luck because our app of the week is Quell, a brilliantly developed and designed mobile game from Fallen Tree Games.

Objective

The object of the game is to navigate a bubble around a board filled with walls, spikes, movable blocks and other hazards. Boards increase in difficulty as players progress through the game along with additional obstacles to overcome. Quell comes with a tutorial to help guide new players, but otherwise is very easy to learn. There are 84 unique puzzles with hints awarded for perfect completions.

Interface

The interface is smooth and responsive while the design and graphics are polished and high quality. In the case of moving parts, sometimes apps lack a sense of precision, but Quell doesn’t suffer from that problem at all. Each level is as fluid as the previous and even after lengthy play times the app functions normally.

Final Thoughts

Players who have a knack for directional recognition will likely perform well and complete the game in a reasonable amount of time. If you’re a fan of puzzle games, then this is a must have mobile game app. Quell is available for Android at .99¢, iOS at $1.99, is well worth the cost and we highly recommend it.
