Joinbox
Staying connected used to be simple, pick up a phone and call or write a letter to someone. Now, staying connected is convenient, but in some ways harder. There are so many ways to connect and numerous platforms to do it on. As a result, users are constantly logging in and out of services to interact with friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, like-minded folks and anyone else who needs communicating with. Joinbox is a fresh idea that unites all your sources of information and consolidates them in one convenient place.
Joinbox eliminates the need to continually login and logout of websites and email services. The service affords users the opportunity to unite their social network feeds, emails and online news in one centralized Joinbox platform. The result is less time spent navigating and bouncing between data streams and more time focusing on responses and interaction.
Joinbox is still quite young and is currently in an invite only beta mode. They’ve been making headway for awhile and are finally starting to push their service out to the public. Some early benefits of the service include access to social networks which may otherwise be blocked at a workplace and share updates across multiple services instead of one at a time.
Joinbox’s rise will be dependent upon user base and service integration. As it is now, Joinbox is an attractive service for users looking to share great content and eliminate multiple social network logins. Future developments and further integration with existing social networks could likely be the tipping point which propels Joinbox to popularity. You can sign-up for an invite now on their website.

Dear Mr. Geek
I got an invite code, i logged into Joinbox and all was well except at that time you could not add yahoo email addresses, which I found add having a Yahoo email address that I signed up with, but anyway … So when Yahoo email addresses were enabled on Joinbox I tried to log back in with my set up name and password but to no avail. Where the heck is the log in??? I can sign up for the wait list, I can enter an invite code (mine expired since then apparently) but I cannot find the regular already invited login. Help!!
thanks

@Brenda – Thanks for reaching out. There is clearly a problem with the login link you’re referencing. I tested it myself and confirmed the beta link is broken. I’ve contacted Joinbox to inform them of the problem and ascertain a solution for our readers. Once I receive feedback from them, I’ll make the information available here.
Check back with us and if I don’t receive a response within a week, I’ll post that as well.
thanks much. with you being a hockey fan what do you think of the Launch Skates concept that was in the inventions issue of PopSci this year? they look pretty cool! my son plays.
@Brenda – I didn’t see the PopSci issue, but am familiar with the Launch Skates. Supposed to increase speed and enhance crossover. Sounds great, but with the game already so fast I can see this being held back from full adoption – at least in the near future.
any word on joinbox sign in yet?
thanks

@Brenda – It’s been 4 days and no reply. We sent out a request via Twitter, but the account hasn’t seen activity in some months (March). The same can be said of Facebook (February). If we don’t hear something through the weekend, we’ll consider the project on hold or abandoned and update our review accordingly.
If you need recommendations on a Joinbox replacement, just ask.
