Those who join the Dawnguard will be presented with several side missions as is the case with much of Skyrim’s gameplay. In particular, players can pursue Bolstering The Ranks to enlist for the Dawnguard.
Bolstering The Ranks
- Start by speaking with Sorine, located in Fort Dawnguard.
- Speak with Isran to learn the whereabouts of Florentius.
- Travel to Ruunvald Excavation, located north of Riften and directly east of Shor’s Watchtower. The excavation entrance is up the mountainside.
- Enter Ruunvald Excavation.
- Work your way down, through Ruunvald Excavation to Ruunvald Temple.
- Enter Ruunvald Temple.
- Kill Minorne for Ruunvald Key.
- Use the key to free Florentius Baenius from the cage at the top of the staircase.
- Speak with Forentius Baenius to complete Bolstering The Ranks.[notice type=”green”]Tip: Unlock the Iron Door to reveal a faster exit from Ruunvald.[/notice]
